So, a week and a half before Xmas I get $***.** removed from my personal bank account and can't afford all that so close to the holidays and now we're almost a month out. Why in this day and age with technology as it is should this be necessary? It had already been withdrawn and Mediacom knew this. What he had tried to tell me is that I would have to go into my bank (which is over a half hour away from where I live and work-without the flexibility of being able to just leave work for something like this) and ask them to refuse the payment. (He was going to ask "higher-ups" what he could do. I filed a formal complaint with my back in between calls from Matt. At this point we're going on a month since I made this mistake and have been trying to rectify it. On Jan *th I received a call from a man named, Matt calling from an Ames, Iowa number and he was especially rude and patronizing to me. At that time I was told again that it would be returned to my account the following day. Went through the holidays and called again on the **th. I contacted Mediacom and was told that it would be in my account the next day. **th-within two days I recognized the error when I saw on my bank account that mediacom made two EFT withdrawals in the same amount. I accidentally made a double payment online on Dec. Get a refund for a double payment made in Dec.
